In our Windermere Cafe, we proudly offer a range of sweet and savoury treats as well as luxury hot drinks, and Afternoon Tea. So if you’re one for a slice of sophisticated fun then you can enjoy a unique selection of both coffees, hot drinks, food. We’re based on Ash Street in Bowness on Windermere, which means we’re based right in the heart of the Lake District.
We serve a range of sandwiches & Afternoon Tea from 12 – 4.30 pm each day. Although, nibbles such as olives & crisps are available until late. Feel free to pop in and enjoy light bite or coffee on our new terrace or inside our Windermere Cafe.
Afternoon Tea
Served in a stylish but equally elegant setting both inside or outside our Windermere Cafe. Our Afternoon Tea at The Fizzy Tarté can be a traditional or modern affair. Furthermore, whether you desire a classic tea service, or something a little more indulgent, The Fizzy Tarté has the perfect afternoon tea for you.

Discover a choice of mouth-watering patisseries, handmade locally by the finest pastry chefs in the North West. Join us and appreciate our wide selection of pâtisserie. Whether you enjoy yours with a glass Champagne, or while soaking up the atmosphere with a hot beverage, indulge in the tastiest treats around.

Whether it’s a delicious pizza, scrumptious sandwich, a packet of sea salt crisps, a bowl of nuts or fresh hummus dips – we’ve got a fantastic selection of quick and tasty snacks available in our Windermere Cafe. All of which go great with our selection of hot and cold drinks. Available 12-4.30pm.

Our top 5 Cafe ‘Need to knows for visitors’
- Our Cafe is dog-friendly, however, they are allowed on the outside terrace only this due to the cosiness of our venue.
- We do offer gluten-free options cakes, some you will find in our normal menu, but also please ask a member of staff if you’re looking for something else as we do have weekly specials.
- We currently don’t offer any vegan options, but we are trying to source french patisserie makers that can offer this. If you know one (that’s in the UK please), why not drop us an email.
- We have full disabled access at The Fizzy Tarté and have access a disabled loo as required.
- Lastly, we’re in the heart of Bowness on Windermere a few minutes walk from Lake Windermere so why not say hi when you’re next in the area.
